“the most basic work for peace is to return to ourselves and create harmony among the elements within us”.

For the last 15 years I’ve been exploring and expressing aspects of external and internal environments, and lived experience, that have been discarded, derelict, unseen, unknown or suppressed. This development has been intuitive and, I believe, has naturally released qualities of heart, faith and care through the work.
The completion of my BFA degree was accompanied by an emerging practice of meditation, a better awareness of place and a deepening interest in therapeutics. I worked and volunteered in various mental health settings and offered and developed mental health and wellbeing oriented arts projects. I’m now also practicing as a psychospiritual Psychotherapist in training.
Through Eleanor Minney Drawing I welcome an integration of the fullness of lived experiences, in the environments and contexts we find ourselves in. Mindfulness practice and appreciation of Nature inspire this work and support me in holding space for contemplative expression.
I’m currently working on an enquiry into the relationship between walking and drawing, and on a drawing series exploring memory and imagination.

Thank you to the Late Brian Catling RA for reminding us of the “things that make the human spirit brighter”. To Paul Fryer employing me as a studio assistant way-back-when. To family and friends for everything. And to Dr. Liz Tunbridge, Henrietta Webb-Wilson, Anon, C.A.S., Sam Curtis and James Upton for your part in creating a truly from-the-heart project.
